I am such a dork... but this is my entry for tonight. Ugh. And, why is my font size all funky???? I dont get it!! HELP!! (Please, seriously, if you know whats wrong, leave me a message!!)

Well, its 36 degrees... the windchill is 32. I cant wait to go to Texas! LOL And, maybe I wasnt that far off in the snow the other day, look at what happened not even an hour south of me! I am so not looking forward to the snow. Its pretty and all, but ugh. I hate driving in it.

From WGRZ Buffalo

The calendar says autumn, but many areas south of Buffalo looked more like early winter as a light coating of snow and frozen precipitation fell overnight and early Thursday.

National Weather Service meteorologists in Buffalo blame this winter-like blast on Arctic air from northern Canada causing temperatures to fall some 15 degrees below normal for this time of year.

Snow coated lawns and roadways in Springville,

Ellicottville and other communities along the Route 219. Several Chautauqua County communities reported up to three inches of snow on the ground. Although winter driving skills were called for during the morning commute, no major accidents were reported.

And, from WKBW Buffalo (theres a video link on that page too!)

Check your calendar and check out the snow that is already falling in Western New York. People in the Town of Colden say it looked like a January morning when they woke up today. Meteorologist Kristin Wedemeyer will have the latest on snow cover in hill country.

And, finally, from WIVB Buffalo

The Southern Tier of Western New York is getting an early taste of winter. Snow fell in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties Wednesday morning. Significant accumulations were reported in The Jamestown, Hinsdale and Ellicottville areas, among others. Intermittent flurries have dumped enough snow to make roads slick and cause a few problems for motorists. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department says there have been a few fender-benders reported, but no serious accidents.

Residents in parts of Western New York have gotten an early taste of winter. Some areas got enough of the white stuff to send the plows into action. News 4's Mylous Hairston reports from the Erie Basin Marina with a look at our first blast from Old Man Winter. This pre-winter preview surprised many people in Cattaraugus County. The fast falling flakes covered the ground and made life a little colder and harder for landscaper Jessica Barnett.

Despite the cold, there is work to be done. It's October 2nd, we're into the early part of fall, but it looks more like early winter. Jessica is frozen but not discouraged.

The story was similar in Wyoming County. Frost and snow covered the ground and cars. Some plow operators in Colden checked out area roads.

For Mark Offhaus, the timing of this cold weather couldn't be better. While many people can't believe what they're seeing on this date, Offhaus says the calendar is not always a good indicator of the weather people expect.

I am so not ready for this...
